About
Dr. Smith earned her Exercise & Sport Science degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2008 and completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of South Carolina in 2011. She then specialized in orthopedics through an APTA-credentialed residency program in Greenville, South Carolina, gaining expertise in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation while working with respected surgeons, skilled physical therapists, and athletes from high school to collegiate levels.
Since 2015, she has been offering expert care to patients in Cary and the Research Triangle area. She has worked with high school and college athletes, community sports players, and patients focused on improving their strength and wellness.
Dr. Smith has proven expertise in delivering high-quality patient care, optimizing functional outcomes, and managing efficient and effective treatment plans to achieve maximum recovery. Dr. Smith is recognized for a patient-centered approach, clinical precision, and a strong reputation for developing evidence-based rehabilitation strategies that enhance mobility, reduce pain, and restore peak performance. She has continued to advance her skills with providing optimal recovery through trigger point dry needling, instrument assisted soft tissue mobility, and selected functional mobility assessment.
Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with her husband, remaining active in her community, and cheering on her Tarheels.
